(Senior) Energy Offtake Manager (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

• Securing the energy offtake solutions for 1 GW plus of renewables projects p.a. to facilitate attractive project economics and open-up opportunities for disposal of projects to investors
• Assessing and determining the optimal strategy for the route to market for the energy and certificates from new renewable assets per European country
• Creating a pipeline of market offtakers (local Utilities, corporate offtakers, etc)
• Structuring, origination and negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs) in close cooperation with Uniper’s Origination and Energy Sales teams where relevant
• Coordinating the participation at regulatory tenders for subsidies (e.g. FiT or CfD) together with the developer and market analysis teams
• Optimal cooperation within the Renewables business, consisting of developers, engineers, project, contract and offtake managers, market and strategy analysts as well as a network of external partners
• Analysis of the relevant offtake markets
• Reports to the Head of Energy Offtake (Central & Eastern Europe)

Your profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Commercial Law or comparable studies
• Relevant work experience in either in a trading, (PPA) origination, sales or comparable commercial role
• Expertise in renewable energy with commercial contract negotiation experience
• Ideally project management experience with analytical mindset
• Strong network across the Renewable Energy Industry
• Some understanding of the renewable energy market, with a focus on regulatory remuneration schemes as well as market commercialization of utility scale wind and solar-PV
• Creative and open-minded individual with a good sense of humor
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven track record of international work experience and appreciation of cultural differences
• High mobility/willingness to travel occasionally
• Business fluency in English, German and / or Hungarian is a plus
• We are flexible on where the role can be based but ideally in Germany and can be predominantly based from home but with willingness to work from the office as and when needed
