Your responsibilities

 

  • Contributing to Uniper’s asset development activities, including greenfield, brownfield and Joint Venture projects to generate value for the group in various countries, markets and regulatory regimes e.g. wholesale, ancillary services and capacity markets, customer contracts
  • Supporting coordination of development projects with special focus on site development activities for Uniper sites in Germany and applying innovative technologies in line with Uniper strategy at various sites e.g. hydrogen and batteries
  • Supporting management of interfaces to local/national authorities and governing bodies to protect Uniper’s interest with regards to development options and engage with an establish lasting relationships with all internal and external stakeholders in Uniper’s core markets
  • Preparing regular reporting on the status of projects under development
  • Document development process and support standardization of project management/development best practices
  • Supporting coordination and preparation of internal decision papers (SD/FD) and aligning within the organisation
  • Providing market intelligence and support lobbying of political and regulatory changes in Uniper’s core markets from a project development perspective
 

 

Your profile


  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in engineering, natural sciences or economics
  • First (European/international) work experience in origination & project management of generation projects (with preference for fossil fuel power plants) and/or infrastructure/heavy industry projects
  • Strong team player with demonstrated experience of working both in an international team and internationally and actively collaborates across (Uniper) units boundaries (especially also in a virtual setting of Asset Development team environment)
  • Proved reference to guidance and advice from others within the team
  • Understanding of the technical and commercial challenges of development, decommissioning and demolition
  • High degree of entrepreneurial thinking & understanding the environment in which assets operate to promote an idea into a project over to financial investment decision
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, powers of persuasion and negotiation, as well as personal initiative
  • Awareness of HSSE as core element of daily working habits
  • Willingness to travel and be flexible
  • German and English as a pre-requisite, additional languages (Dutch, Swedish) recommended
