What are we looking for
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Manager to oversee and manage asset-based contracts with customers in key industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of contracts, maintaining strong relationships with customers, and driving profitability for the organization. You will be working in our Customer Asset Solutions team in the Netherlands which consists of 6 businesses developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage asset-based contracts with customers in the district heating, chemical, petroleum-chemical, food and beverage, and paper and pulp industries.
- Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and legal, to develop contract proposals and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.
- Drive contract renewals and upsell opportunities, maximizing revenue and profitability.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, legislation and best practices, ensuring compliance and adherence to standards.
Who are we looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in contract management, preferably in the energy or related industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law and negotiation principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand data and make informed choices.
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
