Senior Project Development Manager Solar & Wind

We are now seeking two new colleagues to join our growing international Renewables team, in the roles as Project Development Managers for Solar and Wind Sweden. Together with experienced and driven colleagues across Europe you will become an important part of the team where you´ll get the opportunity to join Uniper in a very exciting phase. We offer great freedom under responsibility with the possibility to work remotely. The location of the position is flexible, but you are expected to attend regular gatherings and meetings. We have physical offices in several locations around Sweden and our head office in Malmoe.

Your responsibilities

 

As our Senior Project Development Managers Solar and Wind you will:

•    Manage the entire project development cycle from supporting in identifying and securing land until getting all licenses and permits required to build and operates the projects.
•    Manage relation with Co-Development partners in Sweden.
•    Cover the full development cycle from origination to FD stage.
•    Manage business relationships with external developers, services providers, land owners, permitting authorities, grid operators, regulators, off takers and other relevant stakeholders.
•    Liaise closely with existing Uniper business teams (asset teams, trading / Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), finance, others) and enabling functions.
•    Build strong relationships with the development team, consisting of developers, engineers, project-, contract- and offtake managers as well as a network of external development partners.
•    Be part of a high-performance team and contribution to the establishment of an entrepreneurial, rewarding and fun work environment .
•    Takeover of all other arising activities of the area, as required and by arrangement
•    Report to the Head of Solar and Wind Development Sweden

There will be some minor variations in the two roles mainly on the level of responsibility and the required seniority/experience needed. The roles are somewhat shapeable according to your skills with the possibilty to have impact.

   

 

Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Uniper is part of Sweden´s vital societal functions and critical infrastructure which is why this position may be subject to wartime placement. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.

 

Your profile


You have a relevant university degree in or comparable studies in engineering, environmental science, business administration, economics, law or comparable studies. You also have several years (preferably 5-10 years for the Senior Project Development Manager role) of work experience, and a proven track record of utility Solar and /or Wind project development in Sweden. Background and experience of from county administration board and environmental permit processes is beneficial. Knowledge of GIS systems is and advantage. Experience of grid connection negotiations is an advantage. You are also expected to have/ be;

•    Profound understanding of relevant market dynamics
•    Excellent communication skills and high level assertiveness and communication skills in an international environment and the ability to build effective relationship at all levels.
•    Appreciation for cultural differences
•    Willingness to travel
•    Fluent in English and Swedish, other languages will be a plus
