Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer (f/m/d)

 Our Future Fuel Infrastructure Team in Gelsenkirchen is looking for you! As part of the team responsible for planning infrastructure for (liquefied) gases (hydrogen, natural gas, CO2, ammonia) in Gelsenkirchen, you will be the Senior Engineer in the field of pipelines and plant construction.

Your responsibilities

• Work as part of a team of engineers to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and produce engineering documents such as specifications, pipe class determinations, plant and system layouts, 3D models, bills of materials, tender packages.
• Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects and ensure they meet quality, budget and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams to drive innovation and improve engineering processes.
• Act as a point of contact for authorities, operators (at the sites) and other stakeholders and ensure effective communication and relationship management.
• Track industry trends and advances to keep the organisation at the forefront of technical excellence.
   

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of professional experience in the engineering of piping systems, preferably in high pressure applications for the energy and power generation industry.
• Specific knowledge Experience in piped transport of natural gas, hydrogen, ammonia and carbon dioxide is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of German and international regulations on high-pressure piping technology.
• Proven experience in engineering and engineering management with a track record of successfully completed projects.
• Very good written and spoken German and English, min. C1.
• Leadership skills, and in particular the ability to abstract complex technical issues in order to present convincingly.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment combined with a willingness to travel (both domestically and internationally).
