Your task

 

The general project manager is responsible for the implementation of the project according to the agreed scope, quality, time and cost. Within the scope of his authorities, they have the final decision-making power within the project.

The tasks of the general project manager are:

  • Control of the overall project in all technical and commercial respects and ensuring an effective         and quality-compliant handover to the customer
  • Responsible for the project organization including the procurement of required and suitable resources
  • Responsible for the application and implementation of processes and methods of the PMEF and the quality management system of Uniper.
  • Functional managerial responsibility for all project employees
  • Responsible for the correct and timely fulfilment of the obligations and tasks formulated in the official specifications during the entire construction and commissioning in the interest of the client (company/organization/customer)
  • Management of project risks and implementation of measures to avoid and minimize risks
  • Ensures that the current progress of the project is discussed, assessed, and reported to all relevant stakeholders
  • Responsible for implementation of HSSE management in the project
  • Responsible for project risk management (deadline and cost risks)
  • Informs the relevant stakeholders (steering committee, customers, company officials) of significant procurement processes and coordinates large-scale/strategic decisions with them
  • Responsible for granting permission for changes to the project that affect scope, time or budget
 

 

Your profile


  • University degree in engineering or science
  • Broad competence across the energy sectors and at least 10 years of project management experience in a power or gas utility, EPC contractor or comparable company .
  • Experience of engineering delivery to a generation/upstream asset based business & relevant technology
  • Proven executive level project management competence and Proven success in large projects as General Project Manager
  • International experience: working experience in more than one country and regulatory environment
  • Ability to drive cultural change in international project organizations
  • High assertiveness combined with distinct customer orientation
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; experience in leading and inspiring multi-country teams. Strong identification with Uniper’s Vision & the ability to communicate this.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen in seeking the Uniper optimum and focussing on customer needs
