Your responsibilities

• Deliver Front Office performance and operational excellence in the field of quantitative algorithmic trading & continuous power asset portfolio re-optimization
• Operate as a team member of the Continuous Quantitative Trading desk
• Ensure operational and commercial consistency in daily operations with the shift traders
• Initiate, develop and deploy quantitative strategies for delivering a solid P&L performance and operational excellence across Europe regarding:
  • Continuous Intraday trading, both asset-backed and proprietary
  • aFRR and mFRR energy bidding out of the asset portfolio in Europe
  • Renewables Short-term exposure management coordination within Power Short-term trading
• Take a lead role in shaping the future of the desk by developing and continuously improving the Power physical quantitative trading at Uniper in close cooperation with other Uniper functions (e.g. Commercial Technology Group, Data Management, Quantitative Trading, Market Analytics, Trading Compliance, Dispatching centers, Power Delivery Management…) as well as external stakeholders (e.g. NEMOs)
• Out-of-shift role

Your profile

• Track record in trading functions, particularly in the area of intraday asset-backed or prop trading
• Experience in algorithmic trading and renewable energy, flexible asset optimization
• Understanding of short-term market channels and knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules
• Strong commercial orientation
• Excellent analytical skills and high accuracy and detail orientation
• True team player, driven by challenge and passion to deliver value and results in a changing environment
• Experience in algorithmic programming, especially in Python, would be an advantage
• Fluency in written and spoken English, German, Swedish or Dutch is an advantage
