Your responsibilities

 

  • Act as the project manager for the Uniper cross-functional project to ensure compliance with the new EU Methane Regulation
  • Develop the project set-up (project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget) aligned with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and requirements related to the EU Methane Regulation. Interpret regulatory requirements and collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with various departments across the organization to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment with compliance objectives
  • Prepare the complete list of requirements, gaps and implications for Uniper’s business, while identifying all relevant businesses and geographical areas
  • Align internally on the implementation of the regulation and derive potential impact for Uniper’s strategy, together with the relevant colleagues
  • Implementation of actions, processes, reporting and documentation to ensure compliance with the EU Methane Regulation, based on gaps identified
  • Lead and ensure Group Scope 3 reporting in accordance with European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) E1 to be audited, as part of group wide reporting according to Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
  • Align Scope 3 reporting also with the requirements set-out by the EU Methane regulation
  • Review current methane governance and integrate new reporting aspect through EU Methane Regulation into existing process/governance
 

 

Your profile


Essential:

  • Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a sustainability or regulatory compliance role
  • Several years of working experience in the industry
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and assess compliance implications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

 

Desirable:

  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, particularly related to methane emissions and greenhouse gas management
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with experience in environmental reporting and compliance management systems preferred
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and/or sustainability (e.g., CSR-P) is a plus
