Your responsibilities

 

As Product Owner for our SAP Platform on Microsoft Azure you will play a key role in driving the evolution, stability and innovation of Uniper’s SAP hosting landscape. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, operations teams, infrastructure providers and application management teams. You will ensure, that our SAP environments are delivered efficiently, securely and in line with business requirements. You will shape the future of our hyperscaler-based SAP platform, drive continuous improvements and steer operational excellence for mission-critical SAP services.
 
  • Drive the SAP Platform on Microsoft Azure product roadmap, strategy and lifecycle management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding SAP infrastructure and hyperscaler services
  • Continuously optimize platform performance, availability, scalability and cost efficiency hosting of SAP landscapes on Microsoft Azure
  • Manage and prioritize platform-related requirements, enhancements and operational improvements
  • Steer platform automation initiatives using SAP Deployment Automation Framework (SDAF) and Infrastructure as Code principles
  • Coordinate SAP landscape provisioning, maintenance, upgrades and operational activities across multiple environments
  • Oversee service delivery of internal teams and external partners to ensure SLA compliance and operational excellence
  • Ensure integration of SAP platforms into enterprise security services including monitoring, vulnerability management, backup, disaster recovery, firewalls and cyber defense controls
  • Collaborate closely with SAP Application Management, Security and Architecture & Infrastructure teams to develop future-ready SAP hosting solutions
 

 

Your profile


We are looking for a highly motivated SAP and Azure expert who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills. You enjoy working in an international environment, proactively engage with customers and colleagues and are passionate about building as well as operating modern SAP platforms in the cloud.
 
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
 
  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology or a comparable qualification
  • 10 years of professional experience in SAP infrastructure, SAP Basis or SAP platform management
  • Extensive hands-on experience in hosting SAP systems on Microsoft Azure
  • Proven expertise with SAP Deployment Automation Framework (SDAF) and automated SAP landscape deployments
  • Deep knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA Database and SAP landscape architecture
  • Strong understanding of Azure services relevant for SAP workloads including Virtual Machines, Networking, Connectivity, Storage Solutions, Backup, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Monitoring, Observability and Identity & Access Management
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform or similar tools
  • Experience in large-scale SAP transformation, migration or cloud adoption projects is highly desirable
  • Growth mindset with openness to new technologies and a willingness to continuously develop relevant skills and capabilities
  • Knowledge of SAP security, compliance and operational best practices
  • Experience managing external service providers and cross-functional delivery teams
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps and Product Ownership methodologies
  • Professional communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written
