Your responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage risks that could inhibit Uniper’s ability to achieve its strategy and strategic objectives with the ultimate goal of creating and protecting shareholder and stakeholder value by establishing a long-term risk framework
• Proactively manage portfolio complexities and non-linear risks associated with expanding the renewables business and integrating flexibility products, ensuring informed decision-making during portfolio construction
• Focus on the most consequential and significant risks to shareholder value, linking capital allocation and budgeting decisions to identified risk capital needs
• Undertake key risk reviews for the Leadership Teams to provide assurance that risk management is being conducted effectively, coordinating Investments and Commercial Contracts’ Risk Assessment activities across multiple risk classes
• Actively offer recommendations to maximize the risk/reward ratio for commercial, strategic and investment proposals like financial/physical trades, development projects, acquisitions, etc., across all commodities, assets and units 

Your profile

• Degree, in Business/Finance/Engineering or equivalent education
• 5+ years of relevant experience in risk/asset management or trading within an energy trading company or investment bank
• Proven expertise in quantitative risk methodologies, stress testing, and risk framework development
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams and manage projects with tight budgets and deadlines
• Strong team player with experience of working in an international and multicultural team
• Quick problem-solving mind-set with project management skills and big picture thinking
• Experience with data management tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, etc..
• Fluent in English, additional languages are welcome 
• Risk or financial certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, …) are highly considered
