Your responsibilities

• Analyse and forecast the Central European short-term and forward power markets
• Taking responsibility for the pan European fundamental forward price modelling with focus on Central Western Europe and the related analytical tools and analytical services
• Proactively conducting ad hoc market analyses, identifying and highlighting trends, market and regulatory developments, contributing to cross-commodity price forecasting
• Proactively support operational trading and optimization; create new business ideas to support commercial success
• Driving and managing further developments, improvements and automation for the power market analysis with emphasis on the forward markets
• Confidently present and communicate results related to the European Power markets to a variety of stakeholders within Uniper

Your profile

• Excellent education in the field of Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or similar
• Relevant experience in the field of energy market analysis, fundamental power market modelling, and in the energy trading environment required
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, data handling, PowerBI and programming skills (Python, R, VBA etc.) required. First experiences with collaborate software development platforms (e.g. Azure DevOps, Github etc.) beneficial
• Strong orientation on results, commercial focus and proactive attitude. Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively work in an international and diverse environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and under time pressure, ability to be focused in changing environments and adapt to stakeholder requirements
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required, knowledge of additional languages a plus
