Your responsibilities
The M&A IT Program within Corporate IT supports merger and acquisition (M&A) deals and the current divestment pipeline of Uniper. As the IT project lead, you will manage and execute IT-related M&A projects end-to-end across all project phases: setup, due diligence (IT and vendor), prestudy, separation (logical and/or physical, including rebranding), closing activities (business continuity), transition and transitional services, and post-closure.
While your primary focus will be on managing complex M&A IT programs, you will also play a critical role in broader Corporate IT initiatives, using your project management expertise to support and deliver enterprise-wide IT projects when required.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional IT project teams, including external advisors
- Manage the project in terms of time, quality, cost, and risk to achieve the defined targets
- Understand M&A targets as input for defining IT project objectives
- Support (and take over responsibilities from) the legal organization during the negotiation phase for all IT-related topics (due diligence, transitional services, transition projects, etc.)
- Act as an interface between the M&A project, the M&A IT Program, various Uniper IT teams, and the business units
- Facilitate the decision-making process and root cause problem-solving at both operational and senior management levels
- Implement a corporate IT M&A standard for technology, processes, and methodology within the project
- Develop a solid understanding of various business areas within Uniper to be accepted by Uniper’s business leads as a discussion partner at eye level
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Uniper is part of Sweden´s vital societal functions and critical infrastructure which is why this position may be subject to wartime placement. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Your profile
- 7+ years of experience in IT project or program management, with a proven track record of successful IT transformation projects (SAP, non-SAP, Infrastructure), preferably in the context of larger integration or de-integration initiatives
- Excellent analytical skills, structured working method and safe handling of integration topics, including detailed planning tasks and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding and technical knowledge of critical integration or carve-out topics, focused on:
- Infrastructure
- Assets, Commercials, Licenses and Contracts (SLA)
- Processes, Security, GDPR and Compliance
- Business Strategy, Approach to IT Infrastructure and Applications
- SAP Separation and Migration Project Requirements
- Experience in typical management consultancy skills, e.g. forming teams with different cultural backgrounds, moderating workshops, driving decisions with senior stakeholders, actively managing change curves
- Excellent communication skills and precise messaging, both verbal and written, from operational level up to senior management level stakeholders, high-quality slide writing is a must
- Proven experience in business areas of the energy industry is preferred
- Willingness to travel if project assignment requires it
