Your responsibilities
As Comms Expert you’ll be responsible for two main areas: 1) managing and executing the communication strategy around the Uniper Operational Excellence program, including comms support for projects; 2) organizing the yearly conference.
This role requires a strategic thinker, creative content creator, excellent organizational skills and a passion for event planning.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively disseminate the Operational Excellence way of working throughout Uniper
- Ensure consistent appearance of the OE brand, in alignment with Comms standards
- Support project teams to ensure timely and accurate communication of project updates, milestones and outcomes
- Create communication content for internal and external channels e.g. LinkedIn
- Engage and liaise with the central Comms team and Social Media agencies when appropriate
- Organize and manage the annual Operational Excellence conference (+200 attendees), including agenda & content, venue setup, logistics, registration, speaker coordination, communication, vendors, budget, etcetera
- Act as the primary point of contact for all conference-related inquiries and issues
- Evaluate the success of communication strategies and the annual conference, providing reports and recommendations for improvement
- Owner of the Operational Excellence Academy, including maintaining the website, advertise the trainings, coordinate enrollment of the attendees
- Continuously develop the Navigators Community to enable the Navigators to effectively collaborate and share experiences
- Develop and execute events, e.g. Fail Fast Fail Forward talks, that drive Operational Excellence activity, mindset and behavior
- Develop a meaningful set of the team Comms KPI's
Your profile
You have 5 years+ experience in communications with a proven track record in successful communication strategy design and content creation, as well as in event planning in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders.
You independently lead the various topics and are responsible for delivering high quality content and performance
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience in designing and executing communication strategies
- Excellent communication skills and precise messaging (verbal and written) from operational level up to Board stakeholders
- Ability to understand company and teams culture dynamics and act on it
- Hand-on experience in event management
- Strong drive and a “getting things done”-attitude, to deliver assignments and tasks in a challenging environment with conflicting stakeholder interests. Is stress-resilience and able to cope with highly volatile workload from time to time
- When working in a hybrid environment the use of digital technologies is key e.g., Teams, PowerBI, Power Automate, Mural. Open minded to exploring the opportunities for implementing AI into daily workflows

- Profound experience in working in environments in transformation
- Familiar with international working environment on Senior Management levels
- Languages: English (mandatory) and German (preferred)
- Willingness to travel up to 20% if assignment requires
