Your responsibilities

 

Uniper creates a one-stop-shop for all geospatial related data and applications within the Renewables business. As an ArcGIS Enterprise Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our ArcGIS Enterprise platform and its applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our GIS infrastructure supports the renewables lifecycle effectively. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making processes and drive the adoption of cutting-edge geospatial solutions for our renewables business.

 

  • Platform Administration: Manage all aspects of ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes, including installation, configuration, and ongoing administration to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring strategies to identify and address issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and system backups
  • User Support and Training: Provide support to end-users, troubleshoot system issues, and offer guidance on best practices for utilizing ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Monitor access controls, authentication mechanisms, and data encryption protocols
  • Performance Optimization: Evaluate system performance, scalability and capacity to identify opportunities for optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements and streamline workflows for improved efficiency
  • Integration and Customization: Integrate ArcGIS Enterprise with other systems and applications to facilitate data exchange and workflow automation
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Share knowledge and expertise with team members
  • Technology Innovation: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in geospatial technology, GIS software, and related tools. Evaluate new features and capabilities of ArcGIS Enterprise and recommend innovative solutions to enhance organizational capabilities
 

 

Your profile


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in administering ArcGIS Enterprise and associated components
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and other Esri software products
  • Strong understanding of enterprise GIS concepts, including spatial databases, web services, and geodatabase management
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and automation tools for system integration and customization 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Industry certifications, such as Esri ArcGIS Desktop Professional or Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional, are a plus
