Your responsibilities

 

We have an opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our highly skilled engineering team at Holford Gas Storage. As part of the UK critical infrastructure, this modern and highly automated facility is a key player in the UK energy portfolio.

 

  • You will deliver plant efficiency gains through detailed analysis and application of Process Engineering theory

  • You will help deliver the site Functional Safety requirements.

  • You will help deliver lifecycle management of geological storage elements of the facility

  • You will take responsibility for specific plant areas as required

  • You will trouble shoot existing processes and recommend / design improvements to those processes

  • You will be an active member of the site HAZOP, LOPA and Modification teams, with responsibilities to deliver process based actions and projects.

  • You will assess new processes and operating procedures to ensure that the changes to plant processes or procedures do not affect the ongoing safe operation of the plant.

  • You will work closely with the other engineering disciplines to deliver projects and plant upgrades

  • You will contribute towards the site’s emergency response procedures

  • You will contribute towards contract management and delivery of on-site works

 

 

Your profile


 

  Essential

  • Degree level or equivalent qualifications and experience in Chemical Engineering

  • Strong communication and coordination skills

  • Can work effectively and flexibly in a high performing team

  • Use and knowledge of best practice tools for resolving engineering issues to root cause level.

  • Ability to drive

 

Desirable

  • Has an understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation including COMAH.
  • Has proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
