Lead Greenfield Originator
We are looking for an experienced Greenfield Originator to identify, secure, and develop greenfield development opportunities throughout the UK and Ireland, with a primary focus on solar. The goal is to deliver several hundred megawatts of solar projects within the next 5 years.

Your responsibilities
- Lead the development of utility-scale solar projects around Uniper sites and across the UK, while driving innovation and sustainability
- Proactively initiate and manage land acquisition discussions with multiple stakeholders, ensuring smooth and successful negotiations
- Oversee the entire development cycle, from initial origination to ready-to-build status, collaborating closely with internal project management and engineering teams
- Manage and inspire the internal land acquisition team within the UK, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
- Coordinate and lead external consultant teams to identify and deliver greenfield projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with landowners, permitting authorities, grid operators, and other relevant stakeholders
- Build long-term relationships with key local stakeholders, enhancing community engagement and support
- Collaborate with existing Uniper business teams, including asset teams, trading/PPAs, finance, and others, to ensure seamless project integration
- Develop and nurture a strong development team, consisting of developers, engineers, project managers, contract managers, and offtake managers, as well as a network of external development partners
- Provide regular and insightful reporting to senior management, ensuring effective data management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Present exciting opportunities to senior management for formal spend approvals, showcasing the potential for growth and success
Your profile
Essential
- Strong and extensive experience in renewable energy (specifically solar) development experience in the UK or in an international environment
- Proven track record of utility scale project development
- Profound understanding of relevant market dynamics
- Excellent communication skills and high level assertiveness and communication skills in an international environment and the ability to build effective relationship at all levels
- Willingness to travel across the UK with some international travel required
Desirable:
- Additional languages would be advantageous but not a requirement
