Site and Completion Manager
We are seeking a Site and Completion Manager to support the development and execution of Energy Asset Projects at Uniper. Using your experience, you will create, promote and establish successful site-based Uniper project teams. Your responsibilities
The role holder will need to be flexible, adaptable, and confident and convincing in their knowledge and approach. You will:
• Coordinate HSSE activities on the construction site, especially interfaces with any ongoing operations (e.g. Permit to Work System).
• Support execution of Uniper’s duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the construction planning process, including suggestions for on-site handling and logistics of plant and equipment.
• Assist in the creation of site-based aspects of tender documents and support negotiations with contractors.
• Inform and support construction site establishment and demobilisation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Uniper site regulations and all accident prevention preventive measures.
• Maintain a site diary for the duration of the site works, logging all activities daily.
• Facilitate site-based QA / QC measures.
• Manage the Uniper construction site team, including coordination of interdisciplinary activities.
• Manage, alongside the Contracts Manager, the site construction contract or contracts.
• Work alongside the Project Scheduler to monitor and manage site progress.
• Assist with cost management, including approval of invoices and evaluation of claims.
• Present information on site activities to key stakeholders, as required.
• Act as a first point of contact during unforeseen emergency events.
• Support accident investigations and conclusions from near misses (lessons learned).
• Manage the creation and discharge of consent conditions.
• Create and manage the snagging list arising from defects found during the acceptance of the installation.
Your profile
Essential:
• Technical qualification in an engineering or scientific field (e.g. civil engineering, mechanical / electrical, environmental sciences, or similar).
• Experience in the field of site management / construction management.
• Demonstrable experience of working under the 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Organizational skills, familiarity with project management, completions management and document management systems.
• Awareness of different energy technologies, including thermal power plant (gas, CHP), CCS, hydrogen production and gas storage.
• Clear communicator, confident and assertive.
• Experienced team leader demonstrating good people management skills.
• Willingness to lead long-term assignments, working away from home on construction sites.
• Experience with handover of projects from construction to commissioning to operations.
• High degree of integrity and reliability.
• Fluent in English.
Desirable:
• Project management qualification.
• International energy projects experience.
• Operational experience.
• Second language.
• Knowledge of Completions and Commissioning Management Systems
