Head of Power Origination - UK & Nordics

Your responsibilities

 

  • Lead, manage and build a high-performing team of power originators focused on the UK and Nordic markets
  • Provide leadership to develop a strong transaction pipeline of upstream power deals, including PPAs, tolls, flexibility transactions and other structured power deals
  • Accountable for developing downstream origination franchise in the UK & Nordics to support portfolio and investment hedging activities
  • Support efforts to develop Uniper’s positioning as a leading green power supplier
  • Accountable for providing market intelligence to Uniper’s power portfolio teams to help define business strategies and product development
  • Manage internal stakeholders to bring potential transaction opportunities to fruition and champion continuous improvement of operational processes and transaction execution platform
  • Build a collaborative and entrepreneurial team culture
 

 

Your profile


  • Strong network of relationships across the value chain including producers, customers and trading counterparties
  • In-depth understanding and significant experience of relevant power markets
  • Experience in a leadership role, including line management responsibility
  • Strong sense of spotting and developing commercial opportunities
  • Established track record of originating, negotiating and closing diverse types of power transactions
  • Excellent understanding of risk concepts including credit, market, liquidity and operational risks
  • Sound understanding of various power transaction contracts
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude to develop the business
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and collaborative way of working
