Working Student: Innovation & Technology Strategy (f/m/d)

  Our Innovation team at Uniper in Düsseldorf or remote is looking for YOU as a new member of the Inno team! The ideal candidate will support our strategic Technology Management project by conducting thorough research, organizing findings, and aiding in various technology-related inquiries and improvements in a more quick-paced, iterative style, based on approaches like "Design Thinking" and "MVP's". This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technology management, data analysis + visualization, and innovation processes.

Your responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research on company profiles and technology offerings by OEMs and start-ups, and analyze key techno-economic parameters for different (sub-)technologies following our innovation technology methodology
• Assist and co-lead in organizing research findings and presenting them in a clear, concise manner with MS Office Suite apps as well as (semi-automatic) data visualization tools like Power BI, Power Apps or similar
• Manage, format, and regularly update the collected data to ensure accuracy and relevance
• Support the inquiry and analysis of available technology data and requirements from different business units
• Conceptualize and execute improvements to enhance our technology management processes
• Collaborate with team members to integrate research insights into the overall project strategy

Your profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Energy economics, Renewable energy management, Sustainable energy systems, Technology resp. Innovation Management with focus on energy preferred
• Proficiency preferably with MS Power BI for data visualization and reporting or alternative tools like Power Apps
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with MS SharePoint for document management and collaboration
• Previous work or project experience in energy related technology management and data visualizations
• Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities to sum up relevant messages / information in a nutshell and bring across your findings in an appropriate way in accordance to the audience addressed 
• A proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies and processes
• A team player but also capable of working independently; not being afraid to “speak your mind” or coming up with own ideas and to take leading role for your task
• Fluent in English (verbal and written). German is a plus
