Your responsibilities
Uniper Internal Audit is set out to “Deliver assurance and advice wherever our business goes”.
By providing risk-oriented and independent views, we as Internal Audit support continuous improvement across Uniper’s existing and new businesses. Focus area of Commercial Audit Team are the energy trading and risk management functions of our business.
As a Working Student – Data Science in our Commercial Audit team, you will have the chance to contribute to the advancement of our Internal Audit function through application of data science techniques and AI.
Your responsibilities:
- You will help implement Internal Audit’s Data & AI Strategy
- You help us to embed Data Science based techniques and statistical models to our Internal Audit Data Analytics
- You willcooperation assist in designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions, including large language models (LLMs), to enhance audit processes and analytics capabilities
- You will build programmable dashboards, analyse huge chunks of data, apply statistical techniques to datasets to derive insights on the business
- You will support in gathering, cleaning and preparing structured and unstructured data for use in AI models and advanced analytics
- You will be working with the internal audit colleagues as part of our commercial audits to identify and implement use cases, e.g. for risk assessment, pattern analysis and sample testing
- Engage in Uniper’s Data Community and foster cross-team
Your profile
- Pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field like Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Energy Sciences
- Understanding of LLM fine-tuning, architecture and prompt engineering. Prior NLP experience or projects is a plus. Experience with Copilot solutions, including Copilot Agents e.g. for automating workflows or analysing available documentation is a plus.
- Experience in using data analytics and data science techniques. Energy trading knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in a programming language (e.g. Python, R, JavaScript) and a Database Management System (e.g. SQL)
- You enjoy working with people and technology, are open and empathetic towards others
- Effective communication and collaboration skills. You can present and explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues. And grasp the business context as a basis for your data solution.
