Your responsibilities

• You independently gain an overview on the current emission market design in the United Kingdom (UK ETS)
• You develop an environmental market model based on fundamental drivers
• You gather information on the expected future behaviour of market participants (e.g., industrial participants and the energy industry)
• You validate your model based on other state-of-the art models and engage in learning-oriented discussions with the team regarding model assumptions and results
• You contribute to scientific analyses regarding potential implications of a linkage between the EU and UK ETS

Your profile

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Engineering (energy, renewables, or sustainability systems preferred) or (Energy) Economics in a well-ranked school
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Python (or at least one similar programming language)
• Proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous work or project experience in energy & market modelling is a plus
• Fluency in English (verbal and written), German is a plus
