Your responsibilities

• Commercially accountable for setting the overarching hedging strategy for Uniper’s Power Asset and Renewables PPA portfolio (across Central Europe, Nordic and UK)
• Develop commercial hedging strategies respecting cash, margining, commodity and credit risk boundary conditions
• Cooperate closely with Asset Optimization and PPA teams, Trading, Risk and Market Analytics to form commercial and fundamental views, address embedded key risks and align on hedging strategies
• Perform analyses and build own tools to support development of holistic but also individual strategies
• Build trust across the wider Uniper business to create transparency of commercial risks and positions across the end-to-end power business
• Reporting to Head of Power Portfolio Strategy

Your profile

• Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject: e.g., engineering, economics, mathematics; with a good command in statistics. Additional commercial management qualification and risk management background advantageous
• Passion for European energy markets combined with commercial and entrepreneurial acumen
• Data analytics enthusiast with the ability to deal very diligently with details but equally to understand and link into the big picture
• Excellent analytical skills combined with IT awareness, programming skills (e.g. Python) welcome
• Self-motivated, well-organized individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English is essential; other EU language would be appreciated
