Your responsibilities

• Expand our pipeline of multi-commodity opportunities by originating new counterparts and designing new products
• Product focus: PPA, other renewable power agreements
• Geographic focus: Germany, and potentially other European markets
• Develop and maintain relationships with traditional and non-traditional clients/customers
• Identify, develop, negotiate and execute structured energy transactions to drive PnL growth
• Maximize the value associated with existing contracts and assets
• Explore markets and promote new products in collaboration with other commodity desks, channel and distribute information and opportunities
• Develop and negotiate partnership alliance opportunities and explore strategic business investment opportunities
• Support and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operational processes and tool development to achieve greater scale, greater reach and greater flexibility
• Support efforts to expand our team brand visibility

Your profile

• Education in a quantitative discipline
• Passion for renewable energy and realizing the energy transition
• Existing network of contacts within the renewables space
• Commercially focused and solution oriented
• Track record in the structuring, valuation, negotiation and execution of asset-backed or other structured commodity transactions
• Experience in developing non-standard/bespoke contract terms, including credit conditions (counter-party credit requirements, default provisions, delivery provisions, etc.)
• Familiarity with master enabling agreements, such as EFET, ISDA etc.
• Strong understanding of European power and gas market fundamentals, interconnections, generation assets and market players
• Experience in counterparty financial/credit analysis and project due-diligence
• Thorough knowledge of market regulations and sector regulatory frameworks, including congestion mitigation mechanisms, generator interconnection rules, dispatch, balancing, ancillary services and capacity allocations etc.
• Tenacious, resilient and ready to advocate for your ideas
• Strong stakeholder management skills: able to work with and co-ordinate members of other internal teams to facilitate business (Operations, Risk, Legal, other Front Office desks etc)
• Fluency in English and German, further European languages beneficial
