Your responsibilities

You gain an overview over environmental markets, with a focus on the European emission trading system EU ETS.
You support our team in the software development of fundamental market models and enhance the alignment between different market models.
You advance the state of the art in the field of market modeling of environmental markets with a limited prediction horizon.
You prepare data and conduct analyses on the role of environmental markets in Europe and how they contribute to achieve a decarbonized energy system.

Your profile

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or (Energy) Economics.
Proficiency in Python (or at least one similar programming language), experience using GitHub and/or Databricks is a plus.
Proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous work or project experience in energy & market modelling is a plus.
Ability to work from our Düsseldorf office location at least biweekly.
