What we are looking for

The Expert Market Abuse Regulation Monitoring is responsible for monitoring market activities of Uniper with regards to suspicious trading activities in the areas of Market Manipulation and Insider Trading. In this role he/she is responsible for investigating potential suspicions and the management of internal stakeholders, e.g. Legal, Compliance, Risk etc.
 

  • Responsible for monitoring market activities of Uniper
  • Performs investigations on potential suspicious trading behavior
  • Supports sharpening the surveillance process/system to make it more effective and efficient, esp. with regards to Algorithmic Trading
  • Responsible for managing the follow up on new MAR developments and drives the implementation of regulatory requirements
  • Follow up of findings from monitoring activities
  • Continuously advise and support in the context of proper trading behavior 
  • Pro-actively advise in the context of the introduction of new products, services or organizational changes at Uniper
  • Support the development and enhancement of relevant pattern/scenario analysis and develop risk assessments of its effectiveness and adequacy 
  • Supports the preparation of reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Define and further develop the compliance framework 
  • Represents Uniper in regulatory working groups
  • Responsible for the management of internal stakeholders 
  • Opportunity to work in a multinational team, being in contact with various departments across Uniper

 

 

Who we are seeking

  • Expertise in Market Surveillance activities for financial and physical products 
  • Expertise in Surveillance of Algorithmic Trading Activities 
  • Deep knowledge of energy trading, esp. products traded, markets, portfolios
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Knowledge in the area of Trader Profiling
  • Deep understanding of trading patterns and the ability to design investigation methods to identify patterns
  • Knowledge in the area of regulations (MAR, EMIR, REMIT MiFID, etc.) 
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete documentation of decision making 
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present complex matters in a clear and comprehensive way 
  • Strong Team Player who contributes with individual initiative, high level of commitment and motivation 
  • Ability to transform data into information is an advantage
  • Experienced in Energy Trading Systems and related data flows 
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), German language skills would be advantageous
