Your responsibilities

 

  • Business Controlling for commodity trading business including long term origination deals comprising related planning, forecasting and reporting, performance analysis and evaluation
  • Acting as business partner and counterparty to commodity trading/long term origination business by providing commercial business support in order to drive performance
  • Creating transparency on financial and economic performance with deviation analysis for the business and senior management providing proper steering measures
  • Coordination of Mid Term Planning and projections in collaboration with the Business Controlling team and business lines
  • Challenging deviations critically and developing innovative ideas in order to continuously improve the business
  • Driving valuation of projects/business plans and giving recommendations for decision making via critically appraising of projects, investments and long term contracts; guiding through the respective approval processes as well as portfolio reviews, performance measurement, business model & KPI setup
  • Using your financial know-how to give positive impulses to the business units by ad-hoc analysis
  • Collaborating in multifunctional projects and at internal interfaces representing Business Controlling
  • Preparing management presentations, e.g. for performance dialogues with the joint Uniper Board, Steering Committees and the Uniper Management Board
  • Assisting to establish an innovative Controlling organisation which will both use digitalisation and Operational Excellence to make processes as efficient as possible
 

 

Your profile


  • Excellent degree level in Business Administration/Finance or Economics with relevant working experience in Controlling
  • Sound controller know-how with a thorough understanding of the energy environment and its competitive landscape. KPIs such as EBIT, OPEX, CAPEX, OCF are familiar terms as well as reporting in line with IFRS and HGB; proven know-how and experience in valuation and long term financial modelling
  • Strong analytical mindset and passionate to translate complicated corporate/business issues into financial key data; general understanding and experience with origination and trading business in relevant commodities
  • Intrinsically motivated, thinking outside boxes, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to leave your comfort zone
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data in a clear and easily understandable way
  • Able to take responsibility for work carried out independently and proactively in a structured and efficient way, also cross-functional
  • Fluent English language skills; German and other languages are an advantage
  • Curious and keen to help make Uniper's business even more attractive as part of a dynamic, international team
