Site Development Manger

The Site Development Manager role is to develop and implement future site strategies which shape the future growth direction and ambitions of our existing assets. They will be responsible for coordinating all site development activities and providing any necessary infrastructure to achieve the site vision.

Your responsibilities

 

•    Lead the development and implementation of a “site vision” which is defining the transformation of today’s Uniper’s sites combining existing assets with new opportunities.
•    Shape the agenda for a specific location and coordinate all site relevant initial development activities by considering innovative business / operating models and creating entrepreneurial spirit.
•    Drive especially enabling infrastructure projects (up to FD) enhancing the site and allowing Uniper’s growth projects to thrive by using the synergies and benefits of integrated site ingredients (e.g. H2 grid connections, water supply, power grid connections).
•    Prepare high quality decision proposals and present them to relevant management functions up to the BoM.
•    Lead or actively participate Project Committees and take ownership for governance of site development setting.
•    Build the reputation of the New Green Power and Gas and where required represent Site Transformation at the highest levels.
•    Liaise tightly with the Site Integration Managers from Energy Assets and Growth Project Managers from the New Green Power & Gas areas.
•    Responsible for demolition activities on site including project execution phase.
•    Manage the stakeholder relations in alignment with Uniper´s communication department.
•    Ensure project quality via project prioritization, resource allocation, quality reviews, analysis and adequate monitoring & reporting systems.
•    Foster cross-country knowledge sharing and drive standardization of site development activities e.g. via lessons learned. Continuously question and improve our approach.

 

 

Your profile


•    Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in engineering, natural sciences or economics.
•    Experience in origination & project management of generation projects or infrastructure/heavy industry projects.
•    Successful track record of solution-oriented and value-added business development, liaising with customers and demonstration of negotiation skills – high degree of customer focus.
•    Experienced in leading international teams and complex multi company business development activities.
•    Strong technical understanding for project management, delivering on time and within budget – preferably project manager certification (PMI, PRINCE2).
•    Understanding of the technical and commercial challenges of development, decommissioning and demolition.
•    High degree of entrepreneurial thinking & understanding the environment in which assets operate to promote an idea into a project over to financial investment decision.
•    Creates an environment where there is teamwork, mutual support and cooperation between and among people. 
•    Excellent conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking combined with the ability to prioritize from a holistic view.
•    Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across the Uniper Group.
•    Willingness to travel and show strong local presence at respective site locations.
•    Professional command of English (another language of a Uniper core country beneficial).
