Senior Development Manager International

 This is a senior opportunity to shape high-value land and property development across Uniper's international portfolio. You will lead strategic development activity across the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany, with a particular focus on unlocking data centre opportunities, structuring complex property transactions and working across commercial, legal, tax, finance, operational and technical teams to create market-facing propositions with innovative power solution that maximise long-term value.

Your responsibilities

•    Develop and deliver strategic land and property opportunities across Uniper’s international portfolio, with a focus on high-value uses including data centres and power-enabled development propositions.
•    Create and execute development strategies for complex land and property interests, positioning sites for lease, disposal, acquisition, joint working or other commercial structures.
•    Lead complex property transactions, including lease, freehold, acquisition, disposal and development arrangements, ensuring risks, liabilities and value opportunities are clearly understood and managed.
•    Work cross-functionally with commercial, legal, tax, finance, procurement, HSE, operational and technical teams to align property strategies with wider business objectives.
•    Identify market demand, property risks and development opportunities, translating specialist insight into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
•    Manage external professional advisers and suppliers, including instruction, performance management, governance and value-for-money oversight.
•    Provide due diligence, management information and strategic property advice to support investment decisions, governance approvals and long-term portfolio planning.

Your profile

Essential
•    Demonstrable experience in land and property development, real estate strategy or property portfolio delivery, ideally involving complex industrial, infrastructure or energy-related sites.
•    Strong commercial awareness and the ability to structure, negotiate and deliver complex property transactions across a broad range of land and property interests.
•    Experience developing strategic opportunities from market insight through to practical delivery, including risk assessment, due diligence and stakeholder recommendations.
•    Ability to work effectively across different jurisdictions, quickly understanding relevant legal, regulatory and market frameworks and adapting strategies accordingly.
•    Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex property matters to non-specialist audiences.
•    Experience managing external advisers, consultants and suppliers to deliver specialist property, legal, commercial or technical input.
•    Relevant professional property qualification or equivalent experience, supported by sound business management knowledge.

Desirable
•    Experience of data centre, power, utilities, energy transition or large-scale infrastructure development projects.
•    Knowledge of industrial property markets, power-enabled development propositions or land value optimisation linked to energy assets.
•    Experience working internationally or across multiple European jurisdictions.
