Your responsibilities

 

Working as part of the international Hydrogen & Hydrogen Derivative Origination team within GLO, originate hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, sustainable aviation fuel, and other clean fuel offtake transactions with a focus on export markets to Europe and Germany

Work with Sales, LNG and Asset teams to leverage all expertise across the supply chain

Identify, develop, negotiate and execute complex long-term structured energy transactions with embedded optionality in Hydrogen/Ammonia Commodities and if required in the Renewable Offtake space

Maximize the value associated with existing contracts and transaction portfolios

Engage in and add value to asset development/ hedging/ portfolio decision making processes

Working with Sales team in Europe, connect product offtakes with downstream customers

Explore domestic U.S. markets, such as hydrogen mobility, and promote new products in collaboration with other commodity desks, channel and distribute information and opportunities

 

 

Your profile


Industry track record and industry relationships in the Hydrogen/Ammonia space

Intuitive knowledge of commercial and technical feasibility of deal leads in order to prioritize origination efforts

Deep understanding of the commercial aspects of the sale and purchase of ammonia and hydrogen in international markets and industrial products

Particular emphasis on past experience in negotiating commercial clauses within hydrogen and ammonia offtake contracts, while working closely with internal and/or external counsel

Familiarity with counter-party credit requirements, performance assurance, default provisions, delivery provisions, etc.

In-depth understanding of chemical processes in Hydrogen/Ammonia

Strong understanding of economic optimization along the value chain

Extensive analytical skills to model economics and describe risk metrics of potential Hydrogen/Ammonia related offtakes

Thorough knowledge of or aptitude to market regulations, policies and pending sector specific regulatory frameworks

Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to lead and coordinate

Proven track record in collaborating on large-scale transactions with team members, internal and external stakeholders

Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple potential transactions and business opportunities
