For our Steam & Biomass Performance Team in Düsseldorf we are looking for You to be a part of Unipers digital journey and support a fleet that is shaping the transformation of the energy industry! We are seeking for someone to provide a service to the Steam and Biomass fleet acting as an interface to the COODE team, leading and supporting digital improvement initiatives, use case generation and use case implementation. The digital transformation of the Steam & Biomass fleet will be carried out via the newly formed COODE organization. COODE is part of Uniper´s Digital Evolution for the COO area. The COODE organization will ensure effective through life management of the European generation portfolio digital ideas from initiation to implementation and further rollout.

What we are looking for

  • Shape  the COODE programme for Steam & Biomass and steer the digital transformation journey of the assets. 
  • Coach, Support and lead digital projects taking place in Steam & Biomass & support group wide digitalization projects
  • Data management & performance optimisation through digitalisation for the S&B performance team and the S&B fleet. 
  • Drive cultural change by introducing New Ways of Working and promote agile working frameworks and support in communicating successes 
  • Actively co-ordinate and lead the Digital Champion community  across the Steam & Biomass fleet through analysis of core processes and deriving digital optimization potential in close cooperation with local experts
  • Establish internal and cross company networks, participate actively in relevant communities to scout innovative digital trends and new business models for implementation in the Steam & Biomass fleet



Who we are seeking

  • University degree, technical education or equivalent in Engineering, Computer/Data Science, Economics or similar OR vocational training in a thermal plant/similar asset
  • Experience of delivering in challenging and dynamic circumstances
  • Highly respected, trusted and dynamic “people person” with an ability to build strong relationships & customer-focused
  • Self-motivated, data-driven and passionate about digital innovation with a high degree of personal responsibility / initiative, creativity, willingness to change and innovate
  • Experience of delivering in challenging and dynamic circumstancesOutstanding interpersonal skills combined with excellent communication skills and ability to inspire employees to digital ways of working
  • Business Level in German and English language 


Desirable, but not essential: 

  • Experience working in an international environment with cultural diversity 
  • Operational experience of thermal plants or similar scale assets
  • Experience with either/or PowerBI/Tableau
  • Knowledge of operational system architecture/IT infrastructure within thermal assets
  • Practical work experience in relevant functions and business areas such as the energy industry
