What we are looking for

  • Daily lead of a team of ca. 5 operational analyst as business subject expert on derivatives related topics 
  • Processing, monitoring and safeguarding the correctness of all types of European and US wide Exchange-traded Derivatives and Spot products incl. related collateral/margin payments
  • Daily reconciliation between Trading systems, Exchanges and Clearing/Settlement banks incl. documentation of the controls
  • Resolving discrepancies with Front Office, Exchanges and Clearing Banks 
  • Operational alignment with service partners on processes and performance, setting and monitoring KPI’s 
  • Steering internal policies with respect to trading administration
  • Managing the actualization and reviews on required documentation within the team related to working instructions, control registrations and descriptions, BCM arrangements and internal team procedures  
  • OTC Margining and Exchange Margining 
  • Participating in implementation projects for new products and markets
  • Working with international teams like Front Office, Risk, Accounting, Treasury and other stakeholders to resolve commercial issues over different Exchanges, markets and commodities for derivatives
  • Be part of Digital Transformation program with focus on business process optimization and automation, development of digital capabilities and driving the various automation initiatives within the team

 

 

Who we are seeking

  • Working experience in Bank environment or Back Office for Exchange traded products (financial or energy sector) 
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and to derive Business relevant interpretations
  • Entrepreneurial attitude that constantly challenges status quo of the effectiveness / efficiency of the operational process landscape and initiates but also drive improvements considering available digital tools and technologies 
  • Flexibility to cope effectively with unexpected events, able to overview and steer the process and find practical solutions in a structured approach
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (experienced-expert level VBA, macro's) and and practical experience with Digital Collaboration tools (e.g. Office 365, MS Teams, MS Flow, PBI), experienced-expert level VBA, macro's would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of clearing (related) business/processes and margin requirements  and practical experience with trade lifecycle systems
  • Knowledge of key principles, processes and general concepts of Operational Excellence
  • Strong communication, analytical and numerate skills with ability to work to a high standard of accuracy, dependability and thoroughness
  • Very good knowledge of English; knowledge of additional languages would be advantageous
