What we are looking for

  • You will manage your individual trading portfolios equipped with a decent portion of the desks risk capital
  • Run your own propriety trading strategy across power, gas, coal and carbon
  • Interact closely with analysts to develop successful trading strategies and trading ideas
  • Actively participate in developing forecasting models
  • Manage a close relation to your colleagues working in the risk functions



Who we are seeking

  • At least 5 years of experience in trading the Continental power markets as well as trading one other commodities, thereof min. 3 years as a Senior Trader
  • A proven track record of at least 5 years of profitable active propriety trading
  • Trading experience in adjacent markets, including but not limited to Carbon, Coal and Gas
  • Experience from being employed in international trading houses, banks or major utilities with a focus on news driven trading activities, less flow trading.
  • Detailed knowledge about the fundamental specifications of the German and surrounding power markets
  • Relevant economic or finance degree or similar qualification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timing deadlines
  • Be a team player
  • Fluency in English
