Head (f/m/d) of Grid Engineering Renewables

Uniper Renewables is responsible for the development of the Solar-PV and Wind-Onshore business of Uniper, predominantly in Europe. The renewables business is one of the most important pillars of our strategic ambition. Our aim is to deliver more than 1 GW growth p.a. by 2025. The geographical set-up and our existing capabilities allow us to enhance the solar and wind of Uniper in all selected geographies. The Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Asset Operations and HSSE teams of Uniper Renewables are combined in one business called "EPCO". For the upcoming business transformation and build up activities, this role has been established. It is part of the Engineering Department, leading the grid engineering activities.

What we are looking for

• Senior grid expert leading the grid engineering team in Europe
• Understanding the relevant legislation, regulation, norms and standards related to grids in Germany, UK, Hungary, Italy, France, Poland and Sweden
• Create guidelines and tools for planning, organizing, executing and controlling the project related activities from development to construction to operation phase
• Responsible for grid connection of new and existing solar and wind projects including battery storages from A-Z, including the detailed technical review of project requirements including grid connection designs, single line drawings, site layouts, connection requests and negotiations with DNOs and TNOs, etc.
• Techno-economic assessment and optimization for grid solutions and grid connections
• Analysis of grid availability in relevant markets and collaboration with project development teams regarding new project origination
• Providing grid due diligence and analysis for specific projects and project portfolios
• Optimal cooperation with external partners and within Renewables, consisting of developers, engineers, project-, contract- and offtake-managers, market analysts
• Reports to the Vice President Engineering
