What we are looking for

  • Conduct thorough and ongoing security audits of the Corporate IT portfolio identifying risks and mitigations as we complete our exit from physical data centres, supporting Service Owners by identifying service improvement opportunities, designing and overseeing implementation of approved initiatives, with a particular focus on the IT security design of any change
  • Design and approve architectural solutions that ensure an appropriate balance between security requirements and business flexibility / user experience
  • Develop and align short and long-term strategic technology roadmaps together with Service Owners, interlinked with wider Information Security governance and initiatives
  • Deliver or technically validate High Level Designs and governance processes to support service delivery 
  • Act as a single point of contact for Corporate IT in both the central Information Security and Data Protection teams, ensuring pro-active information flow between the architecture and security community, project organization and external partners over the respective program and project status
  • Support project managers with security assessment processes, and act as point of liaison with suppliers, German Workers’ Council, Information Security, and Data Protection on matters of security for Corporate IT projects
  • Provide thought leadership, advice and guidance on how security architecture is practised by fellow IT professionals
  • Act as a security evangelist, presenting concepts and instruction to end users and assisting projects with any security-related communications as required
  • Take part in Monthly Performance Dialogs (MPDs) in connected Units together with Information Security Officers (ISOs)
  • Support Service Owners in definition of security KPIs

 

 

Who we are seeking

  • Fluent spoken English and German
  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree plus relevant industry experience
  • Proven strong conceptual and analytic skills
  • Certifications in TOGAF (desirable), CISSP (required), significant experience with industry standard monitoring tools
  • Solid understanding of information security principles, standards, practices and technologies.
  • Specialist in security architecture, from an E2E perspective across horizontal and vertical domains, and across all aspects of architecture practice.
  • A deep and wide technical background across multiple security domains, in particular Application and Cloud security (especially MS Azure); M365 and a variety of integration technologies would also be beneficial.
  • A proven ability to make pragmatic tactical decisions whilst still aligning with the business and technology strategy.
  • A clear understanding and experience of implementing architecture frameworks and enterprise level architecture and design.
