What we are looking for

We promote Uniper’s financial success and are responsible for Business Controlling of the German Steam and Biomass power plants as well as the development of our sites. You will be providing commercial support to drive performance and enable the business:

  • Drive plant related processes together with local plant controllers, deriving consistent quality for forecasts, mid-term planning, actuals, fleet optimization and performance reviews
  • Drive process regarding balance sheet and cash flow planning for the power plants in Germany
  • Understand, analyze and challenge the business and budget proposals
  • Provide controlling of maintenance projects (CAPEX/OPEX) incl. support of project prioritization
  • Using your financial know-how to give positive impulses to the business units with ad-hoc analysis and financial evaluations
  • Ensuring inclusive business management between operational and financial objectives
  • Develop and optimize relevant BI data reports and tools, perform data analyses and ensure deadline and data quality requirements are met consistently
  • Drive standardization, simplification and digitalization of processes

 

 

Who we are seeking

  • Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in finance, controlling, reporting or commodity trading related environment preferably within the energy business
  • Sound controller know how. Strong finance knowledge incl. relevant KPI steering (e.g. EBIT, Working Capital, OCF) as well as profound understanding of performance measurement
  • Proficiency with relevant controlling tools incl. SAP (FI/CO)
  • Highly developed business sense, analytical skills, intrinsically motivated, willingness to leave your comfort zone, tolerance to stress
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English in order to discuss financial matters targeted towards business and management audiences
