What we are looking for

The Business Analyst Regulatory Reporting supports the regulatory required transactional reporting (EMIR, REMIT) of Uniper. In this role he/she is responsible for investigating potential issues and for the management of internal & external stakeholders, e.g. Legal, Compliance, Risk, Regulators, clients etc.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the daily execution of financial and non-financial regulatory reporting obligations and develop subject matter expertise on EMIR & REMIT
  • Performs analysis to detect anomalies in the reporting data, investigate reporting issues demonstrating aptitude to work with a wide range of data sets
  • Advises on requirements to facilitate commercial activities
  • Analysis of external regulatory requirements and their impact for Uniper
  • Identify solutions to correct potential issues and document the related requirements to high quality
  • Develop strong working relationships with our internal stakeholders: Front Office, Back office, Legal, etc.
  • Supports developers during implementation of regulatory changes and or enhancements
  • Acting as the contact person concerning operational questions/issues
  • Ensure that outsourced services are properly managed and monitored in full compliance with regulatory obligations

 

 

Who we are seeking

  • University degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Economic Sciences or similar discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex topics with very strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of tasks
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within deadlines,
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure,
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), German language skills would be advantageous

 

Additional Qualifications advantageous:

  • Deep knowledge of energy trading, esp. products traded, markets, portfolios
  • Work experience of financial and non-financial products, e.g. exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives, OTC Physical etc.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting, in particular EMIR and/or REMIT reporting or similar reporting obligations.
  • Experienced in Energy Trading Systems and related data flows
