What we are looking for

  • Contribute to Uniper`s quarterly and annual financial closings in a recently implemented Fast Close-environment, including the use of Uniper`s consolidation software Tagetik and reporting to Uniper`s Board of Management and Supervisory Board (/Audit Committee)
  • Support decision-making with respect to the evaluation of special topics (e.g. M&A, regulatory developments, new business models and/or contracts etc.) with respect to its accounting and KPI implications
  • Support assigned accounting business partners/units in all closing relevant matters (special closing issues, individual areas of IFRS competencies (e.g. Lease accounting, revenue recognition) etc.)
  • Process-ownership and coordination of contents for the annual update of the groupwide IFRS policy guidance (i.e. IFRS Accounting Manual) in a digitalized environment
  • Play an active role in the execution of Uniper`s r decarbonization strategy to further develop its footprint as a leading producers of carbon-free energy within the Accounting and Financial Controlling function
  • Foster knowledge exchange and best practices with Fortum and drive most efficient solutions for a joint Uniper/ Fortum group

 

 

Who we are seeking

  • Ideally minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in technical accounting or a Big-4 Audit-Company auditing blue-chip groups
  • Successfully completed business or economics degree with a proven focus on accounting, auditing, finance or an equivalent education
  • Very good / reliable accounting knowledge according to IFRS and ideally German GAAP (HGB), as well as knowledge of the corresponding developments in future standard setting activities
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, and a collaborative style of working will help you to foster your stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a team and on your own initiative, being able to adapt within a very dynamic environment across the Uniper/Fortum Group
  • Business fluent in English and ideally in German
