What we are looking for

  • Identify and grow development pipeline in wind and solar across UK and RoI – partnerships and greenfield
  • Identify, negotiate and secure development partnerships
  • Undertaking detailed assessments to establish renewable development potential to include detailed examination and interpretation of environmental and policy risks
  • Manage the full project process from conception, ES/EIA production and review, application submission, appeals and discharge of consent conditions in a diligent and effective manner.
  • Able to manage project lifecycle, produce project schedules, manage budgets and produce high quality status reports and highlight reports.
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively with external consultants and be able to challenge third party information and consultant inputs.
  • Be experienced in managing consultation processes including preparing for and attending pre-application council consultations, managing statutory and non-statutory consultees.
  • Liaising with the public and organising and attending public consultation events.
  • Conveying the relevant planning processes in each UK jurisdiction and how cost, time and policy factors influence projects commercially or economically.
  • Be an active member in the growth of the renewables team locally and across the EU.



Who we are seeking


  • Degree (BSc and Masters) in relevant environmental, business or planning discipline
  • Previous experience within Wind or Solar Projects, other renewables experience considered.
  • Experience in identifying and delivering new development leads in the UK and RoI
  • Track record of developing business to business relationships
  • Have solid experience of preparation and submission of planning applications and lawful development certificates for renewable energy projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering planning approvals with UK and Irish planning systems as well as NSIP/DSO processes.
  • Experience in managing consultants and external suppliers
  • Using GIS systems as well as third party/statutory sources of spatial, environmental and planning information to inform your view.
  • Excellent communication skills in an international environment and the ability to influence effectively at all levels
  • Willingness to travel to existing sites, councils and regions within UK and RoI
  • Prepare and write high quality concise documents to convey project progress, status and financial information to internal and external project stakeholders
  • You will have strong organisational and analytical


  • Experience in other renewable technologies such as hydrogen, BESS or hydro would be highly desirable.
  • Member of a renewable energy industry body
  • Able to converse in another European language
